A former professor of Botany at UBC, following retirement Robert completed a number of art courses at UBC, VCC, SFU and others.
His work has been featured in juried exhibitions in Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, Delta, Prince George, Quesnel and White Rock.
His work comprises western and oriental (Chinese Brush) style watercolours, mixed media and papier mache'.
He works in his private studio and maintains a gallery (Ginkgo Studio Gallery) in White Rock.
