About Me

Artistic Medium: Potter
About me: Shirley, a Richmond resident, has been creating in clay for almost 30 years. After discovering the joy of working in clay she took private lessons, followed by formal training at Douglas and Kwantlen college and Emily Carr College of Art & Design.
She is a member of the Richmond Potters Club and the Fraser Valley Potters Club.
She has taught both adult and children classes for the Richmond Potters for many years.
Has exhibited her creations in solo and group exhibitions since 1986. She is influenced by the meditative rhythm of the sand, sea and sea life. Her ceramic forms and colours relate to the tranquility of the ocean scene.
